Travel to Australia
Day 12 Brisbane - Cairns
Early in the morning we go to the airport to take the flight from Brisbane to Cairns, along the coast of Queensland. Throughout the flight we see from the air the great barrier reef. The state of Queensland brings together, on the one hand, the wildest of Australia in terms of wildlife, exotic nature, and unique landscapes, with the most tourist side of sun and beach, which attracts thousands of tourists from around the world every season.

Cairns is the tourist capital of the north end and one of the destinations most demanded by travelers. Until recently, it was just a lethargic tropical backwater; Much of its charm and languor have disappeared with the sudden growth of tourism infrastructure, but it is an ideal base for exploring the wealth of Queensland.

From Cairns it is feasible to organize excursions to the Great Barrier Reef, to Green Island, to Fitzroy Island, to the Atherton Plateau, to the Kuranda Market, to the 50 km strip of beach that extends north to Port Douglas, and to the jungle and the coastal panorama of Cape Tribulation and the Daintree River. The city itself does not have too much attractives and it is more worth spending time visiting the places indicated above. At night you can walk the streets full of restaurants, the commercial area of the pier or go to the beach promenade.
